Welcome to PSPbrewer.com
How does it work?
PSPbrewer is an online flash application formatted to fit the screen of
your Sony PSP. You must be connected to the internet through WIFI and
have the Flash plugin enabled on your PSP. Simply enter www.pspbrewer.com
into the address line of your PSP's web browser.
What's it do?
PSPbrewer has 4 components: (1) A refractometer calculator,
which calibrates refractometer readings and converts brix to gravity.
(2) A hydrometer temperature corrector for measuring
gravity at different temperatures. (3) A fermentation calculator,
which calculates attenuation, alcohol content, and calories in your finished
beer. (4) A yeast pitching rate calculator, for creating
liquid yeast starters.
Why?
I put this together so I could brew in my driveway without getting out
of my seat. I hope someone else gets some good use out of it too...
What updates are planned?
I may add a few performance tweaks to make things move a little faster.
I'm not sure how much more I can squeeze out of a PSP. My first version
has better quality graphics, and was set to run in 'high quality', but
ran too slow on the PSP. I may also tweak the UI to work on other mobile
platforms (like Palm and Pocket PCs). I am also in the process of making
a version that is formatted to use on a computer.
Is there a version for regular computers?
Yes, the same calculations can be found at www.brewcalcs.com . Try it on your laptop!
